Lightens unwanted hair. May irritate the skin. Nov 04, 2007

I have been using this product for about a month now. It does lighten unwanted hair, but it also irritates the skin. When I apply the bleach to my facial hair, I start to feel a burning and tingling sensation. I thought it would go away with repeated use, but that wasn't the case. It still burns, but it's not that bad. I like the natural appearance it gives. It's not too light. It blends in with my skin color.

Hello flawless skin! Mar 20, 2011
By Talita K I have been using this product for over 2 months now.It effectively bleaches unwanted hair both body and face.I was worried that it would be too strong for the face.it stings a bit if i use it within 24 hours of a skin peel or if i have a pimple. so i wait at least 48 hours after a facial before i use it. Now i don't have any problems Maybe it because of the pre-bleaching conditioner. I like the fact that it bleaches all the hairs evenly unlike some creams that bleach the top layer leaving the hairs near the skin darker. It also thins and softens the hairs as it bleaches them to a point where they cant be seen and they are so soft i can hardly feel them :quite surprising since my hair is quite coarse (am light skinned negro). I bleach the hair till its a shade or 2 darker than i want it because i noticed it continues to slowly bleach the hair after washing off even for as long as 2 days later especially with sun exposure. It has a strong ammonia like smell so make sure the room is well ventilated when using it. more so for large areas. The hairs stay bleached for quite a long time (over 3 weeks) even as the hairs continue to grow. It takes less time during each re-treatment to get the desired results so keep checking to avoid over bleaching. Its much thinner than the other cream bleaches i have used so it spreads out well and a little goes a long way, with the conditioner being more than enough to use on the whole body. The mixing isn't such a hassle as long as you keep the powder to cream ratio of 1 to 2 according to the size of the area you want to cover. Am glad i bought in bulk.I intend to stick to this product. My skin doesn't look so dull under the dark hairs and I don't have to worry about shaving and razor bumps.Even make up glides more easily without caking from sticking to the hairs on my face.

Love it! Will buy for forever! Mar 23, 2012
By Jae I am Mexican and have always been ashamed of my hairy arms. I never wanted to shave them, because I knew they would grow back worse. I tried using Sun In and a blowdryer / sun to lighten the hairs but it stung really bad and didn't get it very light.
I just used this product on both if my arms and they look amazing! I am so happy I almost cried. It did sting a little on my hands where I had gotten paper cuts, but it wasn't so bad. I left the cream on a little longer than recommended. It did bleach my skin a tiny bit, but you can't even tell!
I understand how the slight stinging/lightening of skin would be unwanted on the face and sensitive areas, but as far as arms go it works wonders!

Only good for thin hairs Jul 28, 2011

If you have the thin wispy hairs on your body this stuff will dye it blonde. But if you have what is called "terminal" think & dark hairs then this stuff will not do a thing to it. I have the thicker darker hairs on my face & arms & I left the bleach on for the time they said & it did nothing. For over two days I tried various methods, leaving it on longer, putting it on thicker, putting it on thinner, tried not using the activator, tried using the activator, tried using more bleach, tried using less bleach, tried using more activator....you get the point, & it still didn't bleach the hairs, the thick hairs remained dark & black. It also started to dry & cake up o n my face after only a few minutes & then started falling off in chunks so I'm not sure if something was wrong with it or what, & it wasn't sitting out too long or anything, I used it immed. after mixing it. I might try the Jolen creme bleach as I'm told it works for everyone, then again Sally Hansen claimed this bleach was for dark stubborn hairs & it did nothing for me so who knows. But like I said if you have real thin wispy hairs here & there it will work & it will bleach it blonde, but if you're a dark skinned Italian like me with very dark thick hairs you're out of luck, electrolysis might be the only way to go for us.
