This is the best product I have tried that keeps the new growth soft and light - not so many dark hairs either.

I purchased this lotion in hopes of finding an in-production replacement for my favorite discontinued shave-minimizing moisturizers such as Jergens Naturally Smooth and Curel Smooth Legs. I have been using it for about a week now, and it seems to do its job okay as far as keeping hair regrowth fine... I haven't noticed any change in hair regrowth from my transition to the Gigi product from Curel Smooth Legs. However, I can't wait to get rid of it.
It has a very strong and unpleasant smell, somewhere between baby powder, a nursing home, and medicine. Also, it is not a lotion... It is more the consistency of a paste or gel, and after reading the packaging more closely does not advertise to be a lotion.
When using on my legs, the product does not rub in and I am left with white streaks all over, similar to sunscreen. I thought maybe i just put too much on, but after trying a smaller amount on the other leg, i realized that was just the nature of the product.
I was able to overcome the streaking by mixing the Gigi product with some Suave body lotion. When applying the Suave lotion along with the Gigi stuff, it seemed to rub in just fine.
Using the fruity and pleasant-smelling Suave lotion also helped to overcome the terrible smell of the Gigi product, although it was still somewhat noticeable.
On the flip side, the Gigi stuff was pretty cheap and is still in production.
However, i would NOT recommend this to anyone unless there are absolutely NO better alternatives....
My next plan is to try Nivea Sun-Kissed Beautiful Legs.
